Keep small parts together
A labelled compartment saves searching at the repair bench.
In practice
Separate buckles, pins, and patches by size. Note which product each part fits and return unused pieces to their compartment. Keep the parts list with the kit.
After the trip
Dry the case before closing and restock the labelled compartments after each repair.
